Kia is spicing up the summer with the release of the 2025 Kia Soul Soulmate Special Edition. This edition features unique 18-inch alloy wheels and a stylish brown interior in “umber.”

The Soulmate also boasts a two-tone roof, the Harman Kardon audio system (usually an optional feature on the GT-Line trim), lower-body cladding, and a combination of synthetic and cloth seating. Other than these enhancements, the subcompact SUV remains mechanically identical to the 2024 model.

Since 2023, the Kia Soul has only offered one engine option, and that continues this year. The 2025 Soul, including the Soulmate edition, is equipped with a 147-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Though it takes 8.0 seconds to reach 60 mph, the last Kia Soul we tested felt adequately quick for city driving.

Prices have increased slightly for 2025, with each trim costing $100 more than in 2024, making the Soul a still-appealing option for budget-conscious buyers. The base LX now starts at $21,665, the S at $24,165, the GT-Line at $25,265, and the EX at $25,965. The Soulmate edition, priced slightly higher than the GT-Line and EX trims, starts at $26,965.

Kia introduces the 2025 Kia Soul Soulmate Special Edition, aiming to capture summer romance with its distinctive features. This edition boasts exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels and a luxurious brown “umber” interior, setting it apart from other models in the lineup.

In addition to its unique design elements, the Soulmate includes a two-tone roof, the Harman Kardon audio system (typically optional on the GT-Line), and enhanced lower-body cladding. Inside, a blend of synthetic and cloth seating adds comfort and style. Mechanically, the 2025 Soulmate remains unchanged from the previous year’s model.

Since 2023, the Kia Soul has maintained its 147-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission—a setup that continues to deliver satisfactory performance for urban driving, despite a modest 8.0-second 0-60 mph time.

For the 2025 model year, pricing sees a slight increase across all trims, with each variant rising by $100 compared to 2024. This keeps the Soul competitively priced, making it an appealing choice for budget-conscious buyers. The LX starts at $21,665, the S at $24,165, the GT-Line at $25,265, and the EX at $25,965. Positioned slightly higher, the Soulmate edition starts at $26,965, offering a premium option for those seeking a unique blend of style and functionality in their subcompact SUV.
