With 4th of July coming up in a few days, there are many things the city of Philadelphia is offering to celebrate this national holiday!

Every year, the city holds the U.S.A’s Independence Day Parade. It features talented performers, as well as big floats that are a part of the celebration. The parade will be by Chestnut St. and Independence Mall East. Marching bands will also walk on the parade, as well as veterans.

The National Museum of Jewish American History will be offering free admission to the public on July 4th as a part of the celebration. You can go and check out some of the cool exhibits and learn about Jewish history.

Several block parties will be taking place in different parts of the city. Wawa Welcome America will be hosting two different parties that welcome all ages. On July third, Philadelphia’s Historic District Block Party will be open for fun starting noon. It will be featuring the reopening of the Bourse Building. The festival will have food, music, historical characters that people can meet and take pictures with, zip line, kids’ activities, and so much more!

The second party they are hosting is on the 4th of July. The festival is called Party on the Parkway and will be taking place at Benjamin Franklin Parkway. This one will have beer gardens for the adults, acro dunker shows, stages set up for entertainment and food as well. To top it all off, the evening will end with a Pitbull concert and fireworks of course.

Museum of the American Revolution is a great place to take the kids to learn more about America’s history. There will be actors dressed up as Thomas

Jefferson that kids can talk to and sing to honor America’s birthday. There will be cake provided with the birthday sing-along afternoon.

Lastly, let’s not forget about the best spots to see some fireworks! You can see great fireworks at some of these spots: Hershey Park, Lititz Springs Park, Palmer Park, Wilson Farm Park, Heuser Park, and so many more. Fireworks will be all over the city, but these areas have great views and hosts that will be doing fireworks.

Have fun and Happy 4th of July!
