PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — Nasty weather is heading to the Philadelphia region Monday afternoon and evening, likely causing hazardous driving conditions in the area.
Therefore, the City of Philadelphia is closing its municipal offices at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8.
All First Judicial District courts will also close at 2 p.m., as well.
However, all critical court services – Bail Acceptance; Arraignment Court; and Emergency Protection from Abuse – are predicted to continue operating, officials said.
The decision to close any court session will be made by the presiding judge or appointing authority, the city said.
The School District of Philadelphia is also closed early Monday due to the forecasted weather.
